Desloratadine is a medication used to treat seasonal allergies and allergic skin reactions. It is a second generation antihistamine and doesn’t cause as much drowsiness as the first generation antihistamines. Because of its long half life, this drug is suitable for once daily administration. Take special precautions in pregnancy, lactation or severe renal failure. The most common adverse effects are headache, dry mouth and fatigue.
